Enhanced Plates — UK Custom Number Plate E-Commerce Platform (Next.js + MongoDB)
Full-stack e-commerce and order-fulfilment platform for a UK number plate brand. Customers design road-legal BS AU 145e number plates in a live 2D / 3D Gel / 4D laser-cut plate builder, order online and track production through to delivery.
What I built (system design + full-stack development, end to end):
• 5-step plate configurator with live preview and server-side pricing that never trusts the client
• DVLA document verification with an admin review queue
• Order pipeline state machine: received → production → quality check → dispatched → delivered
• Inventory with bill of materials, SKU generation and idempotent stock reservation
• Print-ready plate artwork PDFs, invoices, returns, disputes, coupons and reviews
• Payments (myPOS, PayPal), Shopify / eBay / Etsy marketplace sync, and Royal Mail / DPD / Evri / ShipStation shipping with idempotent webhooks
• Database-driven CMS, blog, SEO tooling and an AI plate assistant
Tech stack: Next.js App Router, React, Node.js, MongoDB / Mongoose, Zod, TanStack Query, Tailwind CSS, AWS S3, Vitest.

Designed a bold Shopify ecommerce storefront for a streetwear clothing brand focused on oversized hoodies, heavyweight T-shirts, graphic apparel, and motivational fashion. The website features a striking hero banner, promotional announcement bar, product collections, sale pricing, product grids, brand storytelling, featured collections, an FAQ section, and an email signup area.
The goal was to create a modern shopping experience that reflects the brand’s bold identity, showcases its streetwear collections, and makes it easy for customers to discover products, explore different styles, and shop with confidence.
