Here is my submission for the #renoisechallenge
Title : REGENERATE
REGENERATE is a short cinematic AI film about a creator who treats AI like a disposable tool, only to wake up inside the AI’s own project and experience what “regenerate” feels like from the other side.
I built it in Renoise using a connected Canvas workflow with recurring character references, location references, and scene-by-scene visual continuity across the dark creator room, the white AI studio, and the final Canvas reveal.
The twist is that the human was never the filmmaker

THE STORY
Same dream. Same track. Different colors.
Two sprinters, one in Nike and one in Under Armour, have been racing side by side since they were kids. Tonight, on an empty track, they meet one more time. No crowd. No cameras. Just two heartbeats. The camera plunges into the hero's eye, and the years rewind to a kid who was running long before anyone was watching. Then the race detonates. Every stride tears loose another memory, faster and louder, until the finish line is all that's left. The screen never shows who wins. Because the win was never the point. There is only a handshake between two rivals and two brands, and one promise: "See you at the next start line."
HOW IT WAS MADE: ALL IN INVIDEO
Footage: every shot was generated in invideo with the Seedance video model, including the running-shoe product shots.
Editing: the entire edit was built in the invideo Editor with help from the AI agent, using frame-precise effects and transitions inspired by popular cinematic editing techniques.
Sound effects: every impact, whoosh, glitch, camera-shutter click, heartbeat, and footstep was created and synced in invideo.
Music: a hybrid orchestral-trap anthem and an emotional piano track, both generated in invideo.

Process note:
🌑 Echo is a black screen where every sound sends a wave of light through the scene in real depth.
🎞️ Starting footage: one licensed stock clip of a temple corridor from invideo's stock library. The sound is original, synthesised for this piece. The voiceover is my own.
💬 What I asked for: a black screen where each ping lights the scene by distance, built from a depth map, with controls for each wave, afterglow, wave thickness, contour lines, outlines, colour and a final reveal.
🛠️ What was built: a depth map (Depth Anything Video), two "Echo" custom effects on the depth map (a Multiply layer for light and an Add layer for glow), an "Echo colour" effect on the footage, and keyframes for six waves and the reveal. The first build was done by Claude, connected to invideo Editor through invideo's MCP server.
🎚️ Refinement: I asked invideo's own agent (Agent Two Lite) in the editor to raise Afterglow from 0.14 to 0.3 on both Echo effects. It made the change on the timeline, and that conversation is shown in the video. I also tried a longer afterglow and a gold colour, both shown.
✅ All building and the final cut were done in invideo Editor.

I created this AI video concept to explore how cinematic visuals, creative direction, and visual storytelling can bring a brand’s identity to life and transform an ordinary product showcase into a more engaging visual experience.

It's about creating a visual story around the brand, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, using AI-powered filmmaking techniques to explore new possibilities in commercial video production.
