I have a question,
How do we actually get clients on Contra ?
They find us by posts , or a job apply(only 3 a day) ..... Or something else i don't know

waiting for my first order on "contra" platform
Hey Contra friends! 👋❤️
My name is Yash Patel, and I'm 23 years old, from the beautiful state of Gujarat, India. 🇮🇳
I'm writing this post because I genuinely need some advice and support from this amazing community.
I've been working in the tech and digital marketing industry for the past 3 years. My skills include:
💻 Web Development (React, Next.js, Shopify, WordPress)
🎨 UI/UX Design & Website Design
📈 Performance Marketing (Facebook Ads & Google Ads)
🚀 Building websites and digital experiences that help businesses grow.
I love what I do, and I'm confident in my skills. But there's one thing I'm still struggling with — getting my first freelance client.
It's been over 3 months since I started trying to find freelance work, and I haven't earned a single dollar yet.
I'm not sharing this for sympathy. I'm sharing it because I really want to learn, improve, and build something for myself.
At 23, one of my biggest dreams is to become financially independent and support my family. ❤️
I have the skills, I'm willing to work hard, and I'm ready to give my best to every opportunity. I just don't know how to get that first client who will trust me.
So I have a small request for my Contra friends:
If you're an experienced freelancer, how did you land your first client? What advice would you give someone like me who's just starting out?
And if you have a moment, please visit my Contra profile and check out my work. I'd genuinely appreciate your honest feedback.
Even a small piece of advice, a comment, a connection, or sharing my profile could mean a lot to me.
I'm not looking for shortcuts. I'm just looking for an opportunity to prove what I can do. 💪
Thank you for reading my story. I hope one day I'll be able to share my first freelance success here with all of you. ❤️
Sending love from Gujarat, India! 🇮🇳
