I built Paw & Polish, a pet grooming booking experience focused on making appointments easier for pet parents with multiple pets.
Instead of going through calls or messages, customers can add up to 5 pets, choose different services for each, see the total price and grooming time, and find a suitable slotāall in one flow.
I also added two booking options:
Book it myself ā for customers who know what they need.
Let Paw & Polish help ā a conversational AI flow that understands the petās needs, recommends services, builds the appointment, and checks availability.
I also included a lightweight admin portal so the business can manage bookings, pets, services, and availability.
The goal was to rethink the first step of the customer journey, rather than build just another booking calendar.
I already submitted my Lovable challenge but I decided to update the landing page and make it look a little bit better by introducing more images to make the page a little bit more interactive especially on the services section, which one do you like: the old one or the new one?
And somehow, almost one full day of those three went into the intro you see when the page first opens.
Not because it was necessary ā mostly because Iāve wanted to try something like this for a long time.
Web design and development are far from my main field, so I kept putting this idea off. This challenge finally gave me a reason to test it properly ā and seeing it actually work is ridiculously satisfying.
The video was converted into an image sequence and tied directly to scrolling on desktop and swiping on mobile, so the animation is controlled by the user as they move through the page.
Right now the project is already at Build 4.2.3.
The backend is working properly, the main mechanics are in place, but visually⦠thereās still a lot to redo. The current plan is to rebuild almost the entire visual layer before the final version.
I also found out today that Lovable reduced the number of prize spots quite significantly ā apparently, there will only be 3 finalists.
That definitely makes the odds a little more painful š
But either way, Iām already getting a new portfolio case out of this project, and Iām finally experimenting with things Iāve wanted to build for a long time.
Howās everyone else doing?
Still working on your project, or have you already submitted it?
Or did you decide not to participate at all? If so, Iām curious ā what made you skip it?
That intro effect looks sick! š„ By the way, I'm working on a car showroom project too, but not sure if I'll manage to finish and submit it on time. If luck is on my side, itās going to be a really fun competition haha. Good luck!
I built GlowHaus Concierge for a fictional solo beauty studio in Lekki, Lagos.
The problem: a simple āCan I book with you?ā can turn into 10+ messages, checking availability, collecting details, chasing deposits, confirming appointments, and handling reschedules.
So I built a system that turns:
āCan I book with you?ā - āYouāre booked.ā
Customers can:
Choose a service
Pick an available time
Enter their details
Pay a deposit
Get confirmed
Reschedule themselves
And the owner gets a dashboard for bookings, deposits, follow-ups, and automations.
