Designed and developed a modern financial web application for the Irish market that helps employees calculate take-home pay and better understand their payslips. The platform provides real-time salary calculations with detailed breakdowns of PAYE (Income Tax), USC, and PRSI deductions. Built a responsive and intuitive user experience focused on clarity for employees and newcomers to Ireland. Developed with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, SEO optimization, and performance-focused architecture.
📓 I've kept a small paper notebook for over a year now — one page a day, nothing fancy. Somewhere in there it started borrowing from books I kept coming back to: Getting Things Done's habit of capturing everything, Tiny Habits' obsession with the smallest possible step, The 5 Second Rule's push past hesitation, bullet journaling's quick shorthand for marking what moved and what didn't. No app I tried ever matched how that notebook actually felt to use, so I built one.
🐸 Tao Toad opens the day with a line worth sitting with instead of a backlog, keeps the Notebook to today only (nothing overdue, nothing carried in shame — just a small mark showing what traveled with you), and gives everything else a Desk to wait on. Soft Paper colors, serif type, hand-drawn line icons. Built solo, brand to interaction details.
Merging GTD and Tiny Habits into a serene, distraction free space is such a thoughtful approach. Replacing a looming task mountain with a meaningful prompt and a dedicated "Desk" gives task management the calm energy it actually needs!
