I have been trying to understand why some Webflow and Framer developers charge $1K–$5K for a website, while some creative studios charge $20K–$50K for websites with just 1–4 pages.
At first, the difference seems crazy. But the more I look at studios like MONOLOG and Aperios Design, the more I realize it's not really about the number of pages.
It's about the value behind the work.
The difference goes beyond design and development. It comes down to:
→ Portfolio quality and reputation
→ Creativity and strategic thinking
→ Understanding the right clients
→ A strong sales process
→ The overall client experience
→ The business problems they solve
These studios aren't simply selling pages. They're helping ambitious businesses build a brand and digital presence that reflects their value, stands out in their market, and supports their next stage of growth.
Now, I'm trying to understand their mindset more deeply.
What goals are they helping clients achieve? Who are they targeting? How do they communicate value beyond design and development?
I believe understanding these things is just as important as improving my technical skills.
Because building a better website is one thing. Building a website that a business sees as worth $20K+ is a completely different game.
Built the branding for a finance community from scratch, and I’m still working with them on retainer today. Within the first few months, the project generated over $100k in revenue, backed by incredible feedback from both the team and community.
First impressions matter the most.
That's why you should think about branding before going to market.
