I’d judge the stronger direction by first 3-second clarity: headline, CTA, then atmosphere. The motion should support the hierarchy instead of competing with it.

Built an infinite canvas grid in Webflow with Claude Code. Hooked up to the CMS, so adding a new image is just a new entry.
The usual portfolio grid is 2x2 or 3x3. This one lets you scroll in any direction and place things wherever. Feels more like a moodboard.
The images bob up and down a tiny bit so it doesn't feel static. Hover zooms in slightly. Click zooms all the way in, flashes the screen white, and opens a new tab.
Works for case studies, images, whatever fits. I'm in my DM's if you want one for your site.
