Sanket Sonmali - Portfolio

Just shipped a new personal portfolio and I'm genuinely excited about how it turned out.

It's a single-page experience built on Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind v4 using a CSS-first token system so the whole palette - including a full light/dark swap - lives in one place. Every scroll-driven reveal, curtain animation and pinned section is GSAP 3 + ScrollTrigger, and the 3D work is hand-written Three.js: a wireframe icosahedron that leans toward your cursor, an ambient particle field that mirrors itself over inverted panels, and a 404 page where that same sphere has quietly fallen apart.

The fun part was the engineering underneath the polish - a theme swap that animates as a clip-path sweep through the View Transitions API, scroll restoration that survives client-side navigation, and WebGL that's gated off small screens entirely so mobile never pays for decoration it can't see.
