In may, I had a lead reach out about a web design project in the food manufacturing industry.
The project itself sounded interesting, but as we discussed the scope, it became clear that communication would be the biggest challenge. Despite asking several times, I couldn't get clear answers on key details.
Eventually, I decided not to move forward.
A good project can survive a lot of things. Poor communication usually isn't one of them.

Video calls end. The silence after doesn't.
That's the real pain in long distance, not bad communication, just the moment the call drops and the room is empty again. So instead of building another way to talk, I built a way to just be near someone.
Stay is a shared surface of water for two people who aren't in the same room. Touch it, and a ripple spreads on their side, instantly, no words, no calls. Just proof someone's there. Send a photo and it surfaces on the water. Send a voice note, and they feel it arrive before they even open it.
Built in Figma Make + Claude: Water rendered in WebGL, a guided first-time experience that teaches the interaction without ever saying a word out loud, and zero traditional UI chrome getting in the way of the feeling.
