Earlier this year I built an Apple Wallet pass for Ancileo, the kind that updates on your phone the moment something changes on their side, no new download.
The call that mattered most came early. The pass style they first wanted needs an NFC entitlement from Apple, and that approval takes a while. So we went with a standard pass that could ship right away instead of waiting weeks.

Ha, we never found out. It needs a separate request to Apple and can take weeks, so we shipped a standard pass instead. The live updates don't need NFC at all, only tap-to-scan at a reader does.

Ferro Type is the one I would open first. Bending a variable font under the pointer re-lays out the text every frame, which is a much bigger bill than it looks, and stepping the weight in a few fixed increments is usually what keeps it smooth on a laptop that is not plugged in....

Previously I had an SVG mask of my logo in the center with my showreel behind it, but this had a couple of issues. So yesterday I pushed it further and I created a 3D variation, video playing inside it, glass refraction and it's even more beautiful when you click into it.
