Designed the core flow for FindIt, a mobile app that replaces informal campus lost-and-found systems (WhatsApp groups, security desk logbooks) with a structured reporting and matching flow.
The main design challenge: building trust in an automated match without it feeling like a black box, while preventing false ownership claims.
Key decisions:
Photo-first reporting, since visual matching outperforms text descriptions for lost items
Match confidence broken into transparent criteria (category, location, time) rather than a single opaque score
Ownership details gated until verification, with campus security tied in as the verifying authority
Minimal, quick-entry forms suited to reporting between classes
Scope: home/discovery, report item flow, match verification, security integration.

A good experience creates clarity through hierarchy, context, and clear actions.
The goal isn’t to make the interface look simple.
It’s to make the next step feel obvious.

Separating feature count from complexity is the sharper point here. A 3-feature app can still feel opaque if the primary action isn't visually dominant, which is exactly what the single-bold-CTA-per-screen approach in those dashboard mockups is solving for.
