For my #EnvatoChallenge I made a social reel called People.
Every stranger you pass is living a life as full and complicated as your own.
You just never get to see it.
That was the whole starting point. You catch a half-second of someone and your brain files them as an extra in your movie, while they're the main character of theirs, with a whole thing going on you'll never know about.
So I tried to make something that sits in that feeling.
No story line, but just a reminder that everyone's got one.
I used Envato for music, images and videos starting with stock images that I got inspired by and used as references and to expand ideas from those.
I believe the main human by design call I had to make was not only the final edit, but prompting for "imperfect" generations.
AI is trained to give the perfect image every time, centered angles, equal proportions, bright colors. I tried the complete opposite while still trying to make it look like a complete social reel.

That premise hits hard, the idea that every stranger has a full inner world we just never see. What made you land on a couch/window scene as the visual anchor for that idea?

I love Envato. I used to make loads of After Effects promo videos back in 2016 using their Envato Elements library. I'm glad they're all in on generative AI now.
As soon as I signed up for the contest, I wanted to do a quick promo for the challenge. I had to wait for the weekend because of work, but in the meantime I was gathering assets in the workspace. Looking around the Envato library kept giving me ideas, and that quick promo turned into a 60-second video built from what I found browsing Envato: Stock references became characters, then the music, voiceover, fonts, and transitions all came from their big-ass library.
I think discovery is the most relevant "Human by Design" moment... not correcting a mistake or a design change. We do that too when we collaborate with other people, but discovery is an exclusively human sport. We are the curators of taste, the creative funnel of inspiration. Yes, tools make it faster, and we can now follow every spark to create whatever we want. But that inspiration comes mostly from the need for constant discovery in our ever-changing world. It is beautiful.

Human by Design: Driving AI with Instinct
About the Project
AI can generate stunning visuals in seconds, but it still lacks one crucial element: human intuition, taste, and emotional depth. For the Envato Challenge, I wanted to showcase the exact moment where human judgment turns a raw AI layout into a high-end, commercial-grade video.
The Workflow & My "Human by Design" Moment
When working with AI video generations, it’s easy to get lost in technical perfection that ultimately feels empty. My turning point in this project was realizing that not everything should be AI-generated. If there is high-quality B-roll, crisp sound effects, or a powerful music track already available, a real director uses them to ground the project in reality.
Instead of forcing the AI to fix its own pacing or audio mistakes, I took full control of the director's chair:
The Core: Used Envato Elements as my main creative hub to source real B-roll, seamless transitions, and precise sound design.
The Human Touch: Cut out the uninspired AI shots, restructured the timing, and layered organic audio to build actual tension and emotion.

Main Assets: Envato Elements (Video Templates, Music, Sound Effects, Stock Footage)
Secondary Tools: CapCut / Canva
At the end of the day, AI might build the frame, but only a human creator can build the emotion. 🎬⚡

Hi everyone, and hello to the Envato Challenge jury!
It is a privilege to submit my entry for the Envato Challenge – Human by Design.
My project is called ONE OCEAN. Starting with the creation of a logo, I developed a complete awareness campaign centered on protecting our oceans and the marine life that is essential to the survival of our planet. This project includes a visual identity, a behind-the-scenes video showcasing my creative process, and a social media awareness video designed to inspire people to take action for our oceans.
Tools Used
Envato as the primary creative platform for generating and sourcing creative assets, Canva and CapCut for video editing and post-production.

My Conclusion
This project demonstrates that while AI is an incredible creative partner, it is human imagination, creativity, empathy, originality, and decision-making that transform powerful tools into meaningful stories.
Technology can accelerate creativity, but it can never replace the human vision behind a meaningful design.
That is the human behind my design.
