I built a custom AI calling agent for a transport and logistics client to automate shipment status calls and reduce repetitive work for their dispatch team.
The system uses Twilio + n8n + AI + a live database to handle calls and retrieve real-time shipment information.
What it does
📞 Answers incoming calls automatically
📦 Provides real-time shipment & vehicle status
📍 Shares pickup and delivery timelines
🔢 Understands spoken or typed Load IDs
🧠 Detects caller intent and routes calls
👨💼 Transfers to a dispatcher when needed
The agent runs 24/7, allowing customers to get shipment information without waiting for a dispatcher or making manual follow-up calls.
