As a marketer and business owner, I know one thing: in 2026, if your business doesn't have both a website and at least one social platform, it feels a bit sus... 😒
That’s why for this challenge it took me less than a minute to choose my favorite local spot: Coffee Village, an eclectic, quirky coffee shop in Palmela that serves the most amazing cappuccinos and cheesecakes 🤤
But...despite their incredible charm and delicious treats, their online presence wasn't doing them justice - hence why I decided to give them the digital home they deserve ✨
🟥 BEFORE BASE44
They had no website whatsoever, and their custom cake orders were completely scattered across a landline phone, Facebook messages, and Instagram DMs. Managing this during holiday rushes like Christmas and Easter must've been CRAZY 😵💫
🟩 AFTER BASE44
I built a fully responsive, bilingual (PT/EN) website that both reflects their unique decor - including their signature wall stripes and dark wood tables - and speaks directly to the audience they're trying to attract!

As for that cake order situation...that's where the automation came in! I built a streamlined cake order system, so customers can submit their orders in one centralized place. The backend workflow automatically:
👉 Triggers an instant email confirmation to the customer.
👉 Sends a structured email summary directly to the owner.
I'm handing the site over to the owner tomorrow and can't wait to see their reaction!!!
Next up on my to-do list? Bringing my professional camera to the shop to shoot even better photos and videos for them, both of the space and the food & drinks!

I’m excited to share my submission for the Base44 × Contra #GiveItAGlow Challenge!
For this project, I redesigned the website of a real local Ju-Jutsu school, focusing on creating real value for both future members and the business itself.
Rather than changing the club’s identity, I modernized the overall experience while preserving its original branding and recognizable character.
Before
• Confusing navigation
• Information-heavy pages
• No online booking
• Contact form was difficult to find
• No AI assistance
• Difficult for first-time visitors to know where to start
After
• Modern visual redesign while preserving the original branding and identity
• Cleaner information architecture with a much clearer user journey
• Fully responsive experience across desktop and mobile
• Interactive schedule dashboard with filtering by location and training type
• Online trial booking, allowing visitors to register without calling or sending emails
• Clearly accessible contact form instead of hidden contact information
• Bilingual AI Assistant (German & English) that answers FAQs and helps visitors choose the right training
• Faster, simpler, and more intuitive experience for both visitors and the business
The goal wasn’t simply to redesign the website.
It was to create a solution that helps the club welcome new members more efficiently, reduces manual communication, and makes booking a training session as simple as possible.

For the @Base44 #GiveItAGlow challenge, I redesigned JosBeauty — a real beauty business — into a more premium, modern, and useful online experience.
The challenge is about choosing a real local business, improving its digital presence, and adding automation that helps the business work better — not just creating a pretty website.

For this project, I focused on creating a cleaner and more professional beauty brand experience. The new site includes a polished homepage, service sections, treatment details, before/after content, beauty-focused blogs, mobile-responsive design, and clear booking CTAs.
I also added automation to make the website more useful for the business:
• AI FAQ chatbot to answer questions about services, pricing process, treatments, booking, and aftercare
• Appointment inquiry flow to help visitors request a booking
• Lead capture automation to collect client details
• Admin dashboard to help the owner manage inquiries
• Blog-to-booking CTAs to turn educational content into potential appointments
The goal was to give JosBeauty a stronger online presence and a better way to turn visitors into real clients.
This is more than a redesign — it is a practical business tool built to improve trust, answer customer questions, capture leads, and support bookings.

Giving a Local Business the Digital Glow Up It Deserves
For the #GiveItAGlow challenge, I chose FACE FOUNDRIÉ, a beauty and skincare business with an existing online presence, and reimagined how customers experience the brand online.

Their website shared the right information but left room for a more modern, streamlined customer journey. Visitors had to navigate through multiple pages to find treatments, compare services, and book appointments, with little personalized guidance along the way.
Using Base44, I designed and built a fully responsive website focused on simplicity, elegance, and conversion.
The new experience includes:
✨ A premium, mobile first design
✨ Clear service discovery for facials, brows, lashes, and skincare
✨ A redesigned membership experience
✨ Faster and more intuitive appointment booking
✨ An AI powered Skin Expert that helps customers choose the right treatment based on their skincare goals
Automation
To create real business value, I implemented an AI Superagent that answers frequently asked questions, recommends treatments, guides customers through the booking process, and reduces repetitive customer support. I also added automated appointment confirmations and lead capture to streamline communication and improve the customer experience.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful design and automation can help local businesses save time, improve customer engagement, and create a more memorable digital experience.
