Semrush filmed their entire content programme at their invite-only Villa at Cannes Lions 2026. Senior marketing leaders from some of the world's biggest brands, 13 speakers on camera, and everything needed to be broadcast-ready and cut for every channel at the same time.
I came in as the sole editor on the project.
The brief: 13 speaker interviews, 8 influencer session cutdowns, full-length panel recordings, a hero announcement cutdown, and short-form content across 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9. Every deliverable subtitled. All from 1.6TB of 4K raw footage, delivered across five staggered deadlines in under two weeks.
The process started with a full selects pass across all footage before a single timeline was opened. From there I worked in delivery tiers: hero announcement first, influencer social content second, full interviews third, panel sessions fourth, short-form cutdowns last. Each tier had its own deadline. None were missed.
Cutting across three aspect ratios simultaneously while maintaining brand consistency across 13 different speakers and five delivery rounds is a workflow problem as much as a creative one. The solution was a clean bin structure, a locked naming convention from day one, and no scope creep on approved cuts.
The clip above features Marissa Dacay, Global VP of Enterprise Marketing at Adobe, one of the 13 speakers captured at the Villa.
39+ deliverables. 8 hours of running time. Two weeks. Solo.
