It’s wild how a few subtle adjustments can dramatically boost game immersion! This is my little driving game, built entirely inside @Rive for the @Contra HQ Game Jam challenge, running on a webpage in the browser. Added in this version: • Drift physics • Helicopter style camera drift • Second weapon (mines) Rive isn’t just for games though, it’s a powerful tool for interactive UI, brand mascots, product explainers, and rich web experiences. Building games like this is simply a great way to stress-test the engine and explore what’s possible!

Most HMIs take you down the highway. I built one to take you into a Black Hole. 🚀 Forget cars and airplanes. For the Rive Vehicle HMI Challenge, I wanted to answer a different question: What does a dashboard look like when you are a lone astronaut diving into a singularity?

Meet Elyon — A fully interactive, first-person EVA Helmet HUD designed for extreme deep-space navigation. Instead of a standard flat dashboard, Elyon is a curved, immersive visor overlay that tracks with your head movements. To survive a gravity well, the UI logic had to change. The Elyon OS features: --> Cinematic Warp Boot-up: Engaging the visor triggers a 3D acceleration sequence directly into the event horizon. --> Dynamic State Machines: Switch between Observation, Standard, and Critical modes to trigger global color shifts, radiation warnings, and tidal stress alerts. --> 5-Module Survival Ecosystem: Manage Event Horizon Telemetry, Suit Power Routing, 3D Orbital Radar, Tachyon Comms, and an active EKG with an emergency Epinephrine override. Built with Rive. Designed for the edge of space.

Hey folks, nice to meet you all. I’m Keorattana, a designer based in Sydney, Australia.

This is my entry for the Vehicle HMI with Rive challenge.

Sprinta — a speculative Vehicle HMI concept for a futuristic racing system, centred around a cinematic HUD

This was my first time working in Rive. It was a bit of a learning curve, but a genuinely fun one. I learned a lot through the process and can already see how powerful it is for like playful game interfaces and sci-fi HUDs and HMIs.

The interface was designed in Adobe Illustrator, then brought into Rive to animate and prototype. I exported it as a PNG sequence and composited it into a driving scene I created in Blender, imagining how it might exist in motion within a larger world.

This is part of an ongoing exploration into racing interfaces, speculative systems and visual world-building.

This feels like the beginning of a larger system I want to keep building.
