The page that should be making a business the most money is often the page with the fewest internal links pointing to it.
Blog posts get linked from other blog posts naturally, as part of normal content structure. Service and product pages, the ones actually meant to convert, often sit with only one link pointing to them: the main navigation menu. That's a fraction of the internal authority a well-linked blog post accumulates over time.
If a business has 40 blog posts and one core service page, and none of those 40 posts link to the service page with relevant anchor text, the site is actively starving its most commercially important page of the internal signals that help it rank and convert.
The fix isn't complicated. It's auditing which pages should be sending authority to your money pages, and then actually doing it deliberately, not incidentally.
Worth checking: how many internal links point to your single most important service or product page right now?
