India’s home-services market is huge, but it’s still highly fragmented, with most of the market operating offline.

And while the big players have built polished apps and platforms, there’s another side of this market that often gets overlooked, the small business owner trying to build something of their own.

Meet Suresh, a small home-cleaning business owner in Bengaluru with a two-person team. He has the ambition to grow, but not a product team to build an app, manage bookings, coordinate cleaners, answer endless WhatsApp messages, and chase customers for confirmations.

So I imagined "Scrubby" a playful, 8-bit-inspired home-cleaning booking experience designed to give a small business the kind of digital experience usually associated with much bigger players. For the new generation and the nostalgia gamers.

Instead of starting with “Can you clean my home this Saturday?” and getting stuck in a WhatsApp conversation, Scrubby turns the booking into a simple Cleaning Quest. Customers choose what needs a little love, pick their rooms and services, see the available slots, and book their mission.

Behind the scenes, Scrubby understands Suresh’s real-world constraints which is his two cleaners, working hours, existing bookings, job durations and buffers and only shows customers slots that he can actually fulfil.

But I didn’t want the fun to stop at the customer experience. Dinesh gets his own Mission Control, where he can manage bookings, cleaners, payments, customers and follow-ups without dealing with another complicated business dashboard.

The problem I wanted to solve was simple:

How do you give a small home-services business a modern booking experience without making the owner become a tech company? And how he can create a viral word of mouth marketing among his potential customers saying " Hy did you check this website"

That’s Scrubby: Your home’s cleaning hero

Door to drawer, without the detour.

WASHO is a full laundry business app built with Lovable. Customers book a pickup in under a minute. The owner, Maya, runs the whole operation from one dashboard: route, orders, capacity, customers and emails.

The problem Small laundry services run on text messages. "Can you pick up today?" "Do you clean duvets?" "When will it be back?" Every booking turns into a long thread, missed pickups cost money, and the owner keeps the whole schedule in her head.
