art(i)physical - A Vision Test for the Algorithmic Age

Originally developed through my MFA and presented at Paris Photo 2025 alongside the AI image series I Was Made in My Motherboard, art(i)physical reimagines the traditional eye exam as a posthuman interaction system. Users draw a trace on a crosspad, transform AI-generated images by closing one eye and navigate halftone shifts & light/dark modes through blinking. Eye charts unfold as cultural anagrams.

The project treats software as an intertextual field where perception, language & code continuously reshape one another positioning vision not as passive perception, but as infrastructure within contemporary interface culture. Figma Make here

Here is my official submission for the CapCut × Contra AI Challenge.

I created two AI portrait variations using Seedream 4.0, each exploring different lighting and styling directions while maintaining strict identity accuracy and realistic skin texture. The final visuals were enhanced with animation using Seedance 1.0 Fast.

I’ve been experimenting with a new loop between 3D and AI. I started with my usual setup in Cinema 4D and Redshift, then took those renders into ComfyUI with a custom LoRA I trained. To get the exact look I wanted, I did a second round of training in Krea.ai. The final image is a mashup of those stylized AI generations and the vibrant colors from the original 3D files.
