Make It Real: El Nido, Our Safe Haven

Speaking of “Make It Real,” this project started with a trip I have always wanted to take.

El Nido is one of the most beautiful destinations in the Philippines. While planning to visit next summer, I found myself researching its islands, lagoons, activities, hotels, restaurants, and travel tips. That research inspired me to create an interactive travel guide that captures both the beauty of El Nido and the experience of planning a trip there.

I used Squarespace Finish Layer to add parallax-style scrolling, animations, and interactions throughout the page. Block Transforms helped me position and layer elements, while Font Uploads gave the section titles and the large “EL NIDO” text their unique character.

The trip is still on the horizon, but this project made El Nido feel one step closer.
