For the Figma ConfigMakeathon, I wanted to build something personal.
I have a four-year-old who's learning how to read. As any
parent knows, summer break means scrambling for ideas that
actually engage kids. So I built him a reading app I'd want
him to use every day.
Meet Plume's Alphabet Quest.
An audio-first phonics app made for early readers/little kids
who are just learning to read. The child sees a letter, hears
it spoken aloud by Plume (an owl I designed for this), then
identifies the picture card that matches the sound. After every
level, Plume reads them a tiny story using the words they
just learned turning letters into language in real time.
Why it matters:
The app uses the OpenDyslexic font throughout, audio-first
interaction (great for pre-readers and kids with dyslexia),
multi-sensory engagement, and no fail states or anxiety-
inducing timers. Just a child, a letter, and a little owl
friend guiding them through it.

7 progressive levels (Starter → Alphabet Master)
Full A-Z letter coverage with 100+ words
4 unlockable badges (First Reader, Word Wizard, Reading Champion, Alphabet Master)
Story Moment after each level ...Plume reads a sentence using the letters just learned
Designed for children ages 2-4yrs
How I built it:
Figma Make for the entire app build (state machine, logic, animations, audio)
Figma Weave for Plume's character design and animated video assets
OpenDyslexic font for accessibility
Web Speech Synthesis for Plume's voice
The build process is fully documented and I live-tested the app with my
my little one (you see his reaction in the demo video).

The problem. AI can now create almost anything, and for designers that's not abstract. The fear is that taste, judgment, the human "tell" in a piece of work no longer counts for anything. So instead of arguing about it, we made a game out of it.
The idea. Everyone gets the same prompt ("give beige a personality," "what keeps you up at 3am"), the same fixed kit of pieces, and 30 seconds. So does an AI. Every tile lands on a gallery wall, and players vote: which one is the bot? Then comes the reveal: who fooled you, and who you fooled. The constraint is the whole point. When everyone has identical pieces, the only thing separating the tiles is taste, wit, and choice, the human stuff. Right now the bot fools 72% of players, and every round feeds that number: a live, accumulating measure of where human judgment still holds the line.
The build & workflow. Designed and built end to end in the Figma ecosystem: the editor, the real-time multiplayer rounds (MAKE, VOTE, REVEAL), and the MUSEUM of every player-made tile. The asset kits (risograph, torn paper, duct tape, liquid metal, and more) were generated with Weavy.ai.
It's recursive by design: a game about spotting machine-made art, built with the machine's own creative tools. The medium is the argument.

For the #ConfigMakeathon, I built Rollroom 🎲
A desktop-only backgammon web app where you can create a room, share one link, play live 1v1, chat in real time, use voice commands, or play against a bot.
I built it with Figma Make, using Figma’s AI workflow to move from interface design to a working interactive prototype.
The idea: make a classic board game instantly playable online, without accounts, setup, or friction.

Memento - OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) App
I built Memento for the #ConfigMakeathon using #FigmaMake, #FigmaMCP, and #Cursor.
The problem I wanted to solve : Millions of people worldwide live with OCD and anxiety and as someone touched by it, I know the struggle daily. Checking things (like closing windows or turning off lights) causes intense stress and repetitive doubts. Most tools don't help your brain remember the action, so I wanted to make the experience feel mindful, visual, and safe.
In Memento, you cannot just tap to complete a task. You must press and hold for 3 seconds. This UX choice forces mindfulness and anchors your brain to the action.
The project includes:
- 3-Second Verification: Press and hold to anchor your brain and remember the action.
- Meditation & Shortcuts: Quick access to "SOS Calm" to reduce anxiety instantly.
- My Victories: A dedicated space to track your success and feel safe.
- Visual & Audio Proof: Live photo and instant voice recording for peace of mind.
- Calming Visual Design: A clean, high-contrast palette with soft greys and dark green to banish stressful colors (like red) and minimize anxiety.
The goal was to keep the interface clean and focused, while adding just enough feedback to make the user feel completely safe and calm.
