Most SaaS tables show data. ⠀ Very few help users decide what to do next. ⠀ In this Loans table for a mortgage tech platform, the real question was not: “Can the admin see all the loans?” ⠀ It was: “Which loan needs attention first, and why?” ⠀ The old table had all the data. ⠀ But the admin still had to

- scan every row - check alerts - compare statuses - decide where to start ⠀

So the redesign focused on decisions, not decoration.

We added: ⠀

- Need Action and Pending views - Search across loans, borrowers, and companies - Sorting for alerts and status - Clear stale data labels - Last sync time to build trust - A larger clickable area to open loans faster ⠀

The result: ⠀

- Less scanning. - Less guessing. - Faster action. ⠀

Good UX does not just show information. It helps users know what to do next.
