Grundy & Northedge was a pioneering London-based design firm founded in 1980 by Royal College of Art graduates Peter Grundy and Tilly Northedge. They were trailblazers in the field of information design and infographics, shifting the industry focus toward visual communication that explains complex ideas with wit and simplicity.
The duo revolutionized graphic design over their 26-year partnership. Instead of relying on traditional, dry charts, they created a highly distinctive, cut-paper illustrative style to visualise a wide range of complex topics, from the human brain to airport layouts. Their work spanned pictograms, diagrams, and narratives for major clients and publications. 
The partnership dissolved in 2006 when they split to pursue their own interests. Today, Peter Grundy continues his storytelling work under the moniker Grundini, while Tilly Northedge stepped away from the studio.
