Taco, a small observatory owner in Lembang, Indonesia, loved showing people the wonders of the universe. But every booking came with endless questions: βCan I see Saturn tonight?β or βWhat if it's cloudy?β
Between checking celestial visibility, forecasting weather, assigning telescopes, coordinating guides, and rescheduling visitors, Taco spent more time managing bookings than sharing the stars.
Then he had an idea: What if people could simply choose what they wanted to see, and everything else happened automatically?
That's how SkySlot was bornβan intelligent astronomy booking platform that simplifies everything from celestial visibility and weather forecasting to telescope allocation and reservations.
Built with Lovable π
What makes this project even more exciting is the building experience. Using Lovable, I brought SkySlot to life in less than 12 hours with just 10 prompts.
From an ambitious idea to a functional, interactive booking experience, Lovable helped me turn complex workflows into something simple and intuitive without spending weeks on development.
10 prompts. One complete vision.
Now, Taco can spend less time managing reservations and more time doing what he loves: bringing the universe closer to people. π
Meet the Business
Business: SkySlot Observatory
Location: Lembang, West Java, Indonesia
Archetype: Independent Astronomy Observatory & Guided Celestial Experience
Built with: Lovable
Public Project: https://skyslot.lovable.app/
One-Line Problem Statement
SkySlot eliminates the manual complexity of astronomy bookings by turning celestial visibility, weather forecasting, telescope availability, guide assignments, and rescheduling into one intelligent, self-service reservation experience.
The Business :
SkySlot is a fictional boutique observatory nestled in the hills of Lembang, Indonesia.
Running a small observatory comes with unusual challenges: limited telescopes, a small guiding team, unpredictable mountain weather, and celestial targets that appear only during specific observation windows.
Customers don't simply ask, "Are you available Saturday?"
They ask, "Can I see Saturn on Saturday?"
Answering that question traditionally requires astronomical calculations, weather checks, equipment selection, guide coordination, and multiple rounds of customer communication.
SkySlot is built to handle that complexity before it reaches the owner.
What Makes SkySlot Different?
01 β Object-First Booking
Instead of selecting an arbitrary appointment slot, customers begin by choosing what they dream of seeing: Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moons, lunar craters, or distant galaxies.
02 β Astronomical Visibility Intelligence
SkySlot calculates observation opportunities using celestial altitude, observation timing, moonlight, and cloud forecasts. Visitors are guided toward nights that suit their chosen target.
03 β Interactive Sky Visualization
Customers can explore celestial positioning through interactive 3D Earth, isometric, and 2D orbital views, making complex astronomical information easier to understand before booking.
04 β Smart Equipment & Guide Matching
Reservations are designed to pair each observation with a suitable telescope and available guide, accounting for the celestial target and visitor group.
05 β Weather-Aware Booking
Hourly forecast updates help identify weather risks. When conditions deteriorate, SkySlot offers alternative observation nights rather than leaving the owner to coordinate every replacement manually.
Customers can confirm sessions and manage eligible cancellations or rescheduling online, reducing repetitive coordination.
The Owner's Transformation
Before SkySlot: The owner acts as an astronomer, scheduling coordinator, equipment allocator, weather researcher, and customer service agent for every inquiry.
With SkySlot: Customers can discover suitable observation opportunities, select a session, receive the appropriate resource allocation, and manage routine booking changes through one connected workflow.
The owner's attention shifts from repetitive pre-booking decisions to the work that truly requires a human: preparing the equipment, ensuring safe observing conditions, guiding visitors, and delivering memorable experiences.
The Outcome
SkySlot addresses both sides of the booking problem.
Fix the Front Door: Customers can find suitable nights and move toward a confirmed reservation without extended back-and-forth.
Fix the Follow-Through: Visibility checks, resource matching, and routine weather-related scheduling decisions become part of the application workflow instead of separate manual tasks.
SkySlot isn't just another booking calendar.
It's an astronomy-aware booking engine that lets a small observatory operate with less coordination and more time under the stars.
What if you could explore a basketball arena in 3D before booking your seat?
You found the game. But before you pay, how do you know which seat is worth it? A flat seating chart gives you a section and a number, but it can be hard to picture your position relative to the court.
So I built BOUNCE with Lovable, a basketball ticketing concept centered around interactive 3D seat selection.
Rotate the stadium, zoom into the stands, explore different sections, and compare prices before choosing your seats directly inside the 3D arena. The goal is simple: help fans feel more confident about where theyβre sitting before they book.
From there, complete checkout and get a ticket you can view, save, or print. My Tickets brings bookings together, with a one-time seat change for the same game and refund requests for eligible bookings.
Bold orange, oversized typography, and scroll driven motion bring the energy of basketball into the experience.
UNTITLED is a fictional independent tattoo studio in Amsterdam, built around a very real problem: tattoo bookings often live in DMs.
Clients ask about prices, availability, placement, references and custom ideas, while artists spend time managing the same back-and-forth manually.
UNTITLED brings that entire process into one connected experience.
The product has two sides:
CLIENT VIEW
Clients can browse available flash, place tattoos on a 3D body model, choose a date and time, complete a demo checkout, or submit a custom tattoo request with references, placement, size, budget and preferred availability.
ARTIST VIEW
The artist dashboard brings together bookings, payments, calendar availability, flash management, custom enquiries, quotes and activity in one place.
Both views are connected, creating a fully working end-to-end demo.
A flash booking updates the artist calendar and design availability, while a custom request appears in the dashboard for the artist to review, quote and turn into a confirmed appointment.
3D PLACEMENT
The booking flow includes an interactive 3D tattoo placement system, allowing clients to choose body type, skin tone and body area, then position, scale and rotate the selected tattoo before booking.
This replaces part of the placement conversation that would normally happen through messages.
CUSTOM REQUESTS
Not every tattoo starts from an existing design.
Clients can switch from FLASH to CUSTOM and send a structured enquiry with reference images and project details.
The artist can then review the request, create a quote and propose an appointment directly from the dashboard.
FULLY RESPONSIVE
The complete experience is responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile, including the website, booking flow, 3D placement interface and artist dashboard.
DEMO
UNTITLED is a functional demo built for the Lovable Challenge.
Payments are simulated and the data is session-based so the full experience can be tested repeatedly, but the core product logic is fully interactive across both Client and Artist views.
BUILT WITH LOVABLE
I built UNTITLED entirely in Lovable, from the client-facing website to the booking logic, 3D placement experience and artist dashboard.
I also applied to the Lovable Partner Program during the challenge and Iβm now officially a Lovable Partner!
