What would Spotify wear for Halloween? π¦
I donβt usually like to design using well-known brands, but this one was too fun to skip hahaha
Concept: Spotify β Spookify π»
- Went with a gothic stained glass window + with bats on the frame
- The original 3 sound waves are now claw marks slashed right through the glass
- (Obviously) the green went full blood red
Still instantly recognizable, just a bit more⦠haunted.
If you use Spotify, would you like it to become Spookify during October? π
Great job
A little behind-the-scenes look at a brand identity coming together.
I'm currently working on a new identity for a coworking space in Austin, TX, with a vintage-inspired direction, warm colors, and a logo that brings a bit of nostalgia into a modern setting.
Carrying the vintage idea onto the coasters and the dot pattern gives the identity somewhere to live besides the logo.
When I first came across the reference paintings, the rich velvet colours really caught my eye. I started imagining how their dramatic scenes could work with something familiar today....and modern dating, felt like a fun fit.
That became The Velvet Parlour, a fictional dating app. Since I run a creative advertising studio [RarePark Studios], creating a series of static ads felt like a natural way to approach the challenge. I brought everyday dating moments into the world of these paintings :)

A dating app told through velvet oil paintings is a fun pairing, the drama fits it perfectly.
