Connecting two APIs is easy. Keeping two systems in sync is the real engineering challenge.
Production integrations have to survive timeouts, duplicate events, partial failures, retries, and records that drift out of sync.
That’s why I design integrations around idempotency, explicit state transitions, reconciliation, retry policies, and transaction-level observability, not just API connectivity.
If your SaaS product needs to reliably exchange orders, inventory, payments, or operational data with external systems, this is the kind of integration architecture I enjoy building.
