SKY ZOO
This is my approach to creating the wildest one-take AI film. I set it in a building inspired by the Sky Park Apartments in Bratislava, Slovakia.
I created seven main characters for the film and produced a character sheet for each one. I created scenes with a specific look and feel and brought them all together in CapCut → it generated the video plan and handled my wild screenplay with ease.
P.S. This story is entirely fictional. Any similarity to real events or individuals is purely coincidental 🙃
What I Built
"The Dock" is a 30-second AI-generated short film about a lifetime of love told in a single continuous shot. It follows Renata and Him from the moment they fall in love as young adults on a Maine harbor dock, through decades together — aging, seasons turning, hands never quite letting go — until Renata passes, dissolving into golden light and wind. The film closes with their adult daughter arriving to sit beside her father, comforting him with a hug, her eyes unmistakably her late mother's, carrying Renata's spirit forward into the next generation.
I built it entirely in CapCut Video Studio using Seedance 2.5 in Director mode, generating a full custom reference library — nine original portraits establishing Renata, Him, and their daughter across every life stage — to hold consistent identity through the entire aging arc in one unbroken take.
Why I Built It
I wanted to see if I could tell a complete, emotionally honest love story in just 30 seconds without a single cut — using AI not as a shortcut, but as a genuine filmmaking tool that demanded the same discipline as live-action: consistent characters, motivated camera work, a real emotional arc.
The idea grew out of wanting to say something true about love outliving a single lifetime — that the people we love don't just become memory, they become visible in the people who carry them forward. Getting there took real script iteration — refining how Renata aged so she kept her red hair rather than fading too early, fixing an opening beat so their first look at each other read as a loving moment, and troubleshooting a glitch where asking the AI to "overlap" the ending caused Renata to vanish twice instead of once. Each fix mattered, because the whole point of the piece was for that one continuous shot to feel emotionally true.
Keeping her red hair instead of letting it fade too early is such a small detail but it clearly mattered to how honest the aging felt. Out of that nine-portrait reference library, was there one life stage that gave you the most consistency trouble?
