CareWeight — family care plan builder

What would it cost to replace you? That's the question CareWeight opens with. It's a free web app for the family member doing most of the caregiving for an aging parent (usually a daughter carrying the load while siblings "stay updated"). A nine-screen wizard turns her invisible work into a printable care plan with real dollar values: who does what now, what that work costs at market rates, and a redistribution proposal the family can sit down and discuss.

Built solo, end to end: research in caregiver communities, product definition, content design under heavy emotional constraints, visual design, and code. Vanilla JS with no framework, mobile-first, installable as a PWA, WCAG AAA verified with automated audits. The whole thing runs on privacy: no accounts, no server-side storage. A finished plan lives in the browser and travels as an encoded link; analytics are cookieless and never see what anyone typed.
