Looping Rope — 3D Motion Study
Exploring procedural motion, repetition, and satisfying looping animation in Blender.
I wanted to keep this piece minimal and let the movement, material, lighting, and rhythm carry the visual.

Keeping it minimal really pays off here, it reads clean even with that much motion happening at once. Was nailing the seamless loop point the hardest part, or did the lighting setup end up taking longer to get right?
Thanks Diego! The seamless loop was definitely the trickier part 😄 Getting the motion to connect naturally without an obvious reset took the most tweaking. The lighting was actually pretty straightforward once I had the overall look I wanted.

Generated the base character in ChatGPT.
Built the landing page layout in Figma.
Dropped the asset into this AI tool, added a prompt, and got the animated loop with an alpha channel ready to go.
Coded the live page with Claude.
The biggest win: it exports directly with a transparent background, so it drops right into any UI — SaaS dashboards, landing pages, or mobile apps — without weird background artifacts.
