Coast and Exposure: the coastline, and the sea
Meadows, Fields and Gardens: the cultivated countryside, gardens, flower fields, open meadow
Time and Series: the same motifs, painted again and again across different seasons and hours, revealing how light alone alters perception
Water and Reflection: water as the centerpiece and includes the famous water lilies
Weather and Atmosphere: winter snow, autumn light, weather as the actual subject rather than the backdrop The Monet gallery site was built with:
