Spring has Sprung 🌱 After taking a month off, I’m getting my head back in the game. Life has thrown its fair share of curveballs at me lately, and while my usual self would power through and work to the point of burnout, this time I chose a different approach. More time offline, with friends and taking it easy. This piece is a little reminder that sometimes all you need to do is log off, touch some grass and stare at the clouds. 😎

I've always HATED working on my portfolio. In the past, I literally spent hours, days, weeks (!!!), trying to craft the most professional portfolio ever (and failing).

Turns out, the best portfolio I've had is the one I'm building here on Contra.

First, because the platform is so intuitive, easy to use, and gives a premium vibe.

Second, because I finally let myself be myself and express things in my own voice and style. I love animals (definitely a cat person), they're cute, and I enjoy smiling at simple things. So I've decided to fully embrace that and show up on my own terms.

I thought I needed more preparation before taking action. Turns out, hesitation cost me more than any mistake ever did.

Client: 73% cart abandonment. Problems were obvious, 9 unnecessary form fields, broken mobile, no trust signals.

I knew what to fix. But I waited. Needed "more data," "perfect solution," "certainty."

Meanwhile: $400–$600 lost daily.

The question that changed everything: "If you owned this store, would you wait another week?"

Answer: Absolutely not.

I wasn't being thorough. I was being scared.

What I did: Stopped waiting. Fixed what I knew was broken. Fields: 9→4. Mobile fixed. Trust signals added.

Result: Cart abandonment 73%→51% in 2 weeks.

The lesson: Waiting to be "ready" doesn't reduce risk. It delays results. Mistakes are fixable. Lost time isn't.
