Max Weebster is a 6'5" blonde giga-chad with a chin carved by the gods, and he's the most intimidating man in suburban Texas. Bikers step aside. Bullies run. Gym bros worship him. But Max doesn't care about any of that. He's a proud, self-proclaimed otaku who lives in his basement surrounded by anime posters, and his most important relationship is with Sakura-chan, his beloved anime body pillow.
In the pilot, we follow Max through a typical day: scaring off bikers without trying, saving a kid from a bully with anime wisdom, and explaining his "training arc" to confused but inspired gym bros. Then he gets the news he's been waiting for his whole life: the voice of Sakura-chan is coming to a Houston anime convention. Max's greatest quest has begun.
Max Weebster is a comedy about a man who looks like a Greek god and loves like a true fan, completely sincere, completely unashamed, and always the good guy.
