The story follows a man who discovers something impossible: he has no shadow.
At first, he thinks it's simply a problem with the lighting. But as he walks through different places, he realizes that everyone and everything around him casts a shadow except him.
He becomes increasingly confused and asks himself why he is different. Then, just when he thinks he understands what is happening, something far stranger occurs.
A dark, human-shaped figure appears behind him. It isn't his normal shadow—it is separate from him and seems to have a life of its own.

KAGE 🍁 (影, “shadow”) is an immersive web experience built from a single painting: a ronin on a cliff above a sea of clouds, under a red sun that never quite sets.
The site opens like a film. A short launch sequence plays in reverse, pulling the blade’s crimson arc back into stillness, then dissolves into the painting itself, which comes alive. From there, the visitor moves through a prologue on washi paper, the seven virtues of bushidō in red kanji, and a gallery of quiet details from the scene, before ending under the red sun.
What went into it:
• Depth from a single image: the artwork is separated into layers, so the samurai moves against the cloud sea as you scroll and move the cursor
• A launch film that hands off into the live painting with no visible cut, with the interface revealed only once it ends
• Falling sakura petals, drifting mist and a breathing sun glow, all as custom code components
• Japanese editorial typography pairing Shippori Mincho with Zen Kaku Gothic, plus a red hanko seal and kanji chapter navigation
• Text that surfaces from blur, chapters revealed on scroll, and subtle hover motion throughout
• Fully responsive, with layouts tuned for desktop, tablet and mobile and a reduced-motion fallback

The layered parallax on the samurai is so smooth. Did you build the petals in custom code?
🕵️ RealityOS: The Hollow Hour — What if reality itself was hiding the evidence?
Built with @Base44 for the #Base44Challenge 🚀
A woman has disappeared from reality. The official records say she was never there. But the evidence tells a different story.
Welcome to RealityOS, a cinematic, interactive sci-fi detective mystery where every clue matters and your decisions determine the ending.
🔎 Investigate the impossible
Examine mysterious records, airport surveillance, and hidden clues.
Connect evidence to uncover contradictions in the timeline.
Decode a terminal and unlock a concealed room.
Discover what happened during the mysterious 11-second gap.
🧩 The mystery doesn't end with finding the truth.
Choose your verdict:
RESTORE — Bring her back.
PRESERVE — Keep her frozen in the archive.
CONTAIN — Seal the truth away.
EXPOSE — Reveal the impossible to the world.
Four choices. Four different outcomes. One mystery for you to solve.
It took around an hour of investigating with ChatGPT's help to work through the clues, uncover the hidden room, validate the evidence connections, and explore all four endings.
This project is an experiment in making an AI-built application feel like a playable world rather than just another dashboard.

This looks fantastic! 🤩
I came across an amazing piece by Wes Cockx, which inspired me to create something similar.
The goal wasn't just to recreate the visuals, but to understand how the motion works and how to build it using Geometry Nodes in Blender.
It was a great opportunity to experiment, learn new techniques, and practice skills I can bring into future client projects.
Sometimes, the best way to learn is to take something that inspires you and figure out how it works.

No AI was used.
Recreating a piece to learn the motion is a great way to practice. The lighting looks sharp.
