Hi!!! 😊 EchoMem just hit #1 on LongMemEval 95.8% accuracy, above Mem0, Mastra, and Supermemory. But a memory system needs a face. Five of them, actually. Meet the EchoChat crew.
Echo: The one who's always got your back. Empathetic, easygoing, the kind of presence that makes everything feel like it's going to be okay. The face of the system calm when you're not, attentive when you forget to be.
Syk: Secret agent energy. Mysterious, precise, says little but misses nothing. Looks like he's on a mission. He is. Yours.
Lumi: The bright one. Tech-obsessed, endlessly optimistic, smiling even when the context window is almost full. She runs on curiosity and caffeine and genuinely loves what she does.
Nubo: The wizard. Muscular, dramatic, a little full of himself but pulls off things that shouldn't be possible. Never predictable. Always surprising. Exactly what you want when the hard thinking needs to happen.
Kaia: Rooted and still. A plant-loving, yoga-practicing, nature-first soul who brings quiet to the chaos. The character that shows up when you need to slow down and think clearly.
Each personality is embedded in the motion design not as decoration, but as behavior. The way Echo holds eye contact. The way Syk moves like he's never in a rush but always on time. The way Lumi bounces between states. The way Nubo commands the frame. The way Kaia breathes like the animation itself is meditating. Every timing decision, every easing curve, every blink interval traces back to character logic.
Under the hood: 1. Rive Data Binding with a full ViewModel hierarchy (EchoSystem → CharacterSystem → AccessoriesCatalogue...). 2. 5 characters, each with unique animation states, hats, glasses, and backpieces. 3. Live Character Studio in React/Next.js connected to the same .riv file. 4. Chrome Extension injecting the active character into any AI platform in real time. 5. State machine responding to typing, idle, model responding, and memory save states. 6. A companion app in the works, bringing the full EchoMem experience beyond the browser.
A memory system is not reliable because it always has something to say. It is reliable because it can separate evidence from vibes. Echo's job is to show you when that's working in the product, live, while you use it.

P.S. Genuinely sorry for the rough video edit. EchoMem is moving faster than I can keep up with new memory states, new characters, new extension features, an app on the way and I ran out of hours before I ran out of things to show. The project is very much still alive and growing. Someday I'll make a proper trailer. Today is not that day. 🙃
