Project: Vendda – Omnichannel E-commerce & POS SaaS

The Goal:
To build an all-in-one e-commerce and POS ecosystem empowering African merchants to seamlessly manage online storefronts and physical retail. The platform needed to scale to support the complex operations of hundreds of businesses, specifically catering to both standard B2C retail and bulk B2B wholesale customers.
Challenges & Solutions
Logistics & Fulfillment: Merchants needed unified delivery management without juggling couriers. Solution: Integrated the Shipbubble API to aggregate logistics providers, automating shipping rates and fulfillment tracking directly in-app.
Offline Sales & Shrinkage: Physical stores struggled with tracking sales and employee theft. Solution: Developed a POS module with strict session tracking and access controls to prevent theft, plus seamless Bluetooth integration for local thermal receipt printers.
Complex Billing: Managing diverse payment terms for different buyer types. Solution: Architected a custom invoicing module allowing merchants to easily generate professional invoices and manage wholesale pricing tiers.
Brand Identity: Escaping generic platform subdomains. Solution: Implemented dynamic DNS routing and Caddy to support merchant custom domains with automated SSL provisioning.
