I designed a bedtime story app called Nightlight.
The idea is your kid had a hard day, and you want to turn it into a bedtime story that actually helps them process it. But you're exhausted. It's 8pm. You're not writing a creative brief.
So instead of a blank prompt, you tap an emotion (Frustration, Fear, Being Brave), type one sentence ("she got upset at soccer"), and the app generates a fully illustrated story with a lesson at the end.
Two taps. One sentence. Story in three minutes.
The age toggle changes the actual story structure, not just the word count. A 3-year-old gets simple pages. A 6-year-old gets a real arc. Every story saves to a library that slowly becomes a visual diary of your kid's year.

Why not both?
Fair point — you could split the hero around emotional pull first, then reinforce with a functional benefit right below. That combo could convert really well.

Love this. Parents don’t need a blank page at 8pm they need quick connection. Tap an emotion, add one sentence, and get a fully illustrated bedtime story with a gentle lesson. Simple, powerful, and exactly what families need.

I love that you’ve prioritized the 'low-energy parent' UX. Requiring only two taps and a single sentence acknowledges the reality of bedtime exhaustion while still facilitating a deep, emotional connection between parent and child.
