I would like to suggest increasing the character limit for proposals submitted in response to job postings.
Currently, the proposal field is limited to only 1,500 characters, which is often not enough to properly answer a client's questions and provide the information they request. Clients frequently ask for detailed explanations, relevant project examples, portfolio links, case studies, and answers to several specific questions. URLs alone can take up a significant portion of the available character count.
Because of this limitation, I regularly have to remove important context, shorten answers excessively, or leave out requested examples and links. In some cases, it becomes impossible to fully answer all of the client's questions within the available space.
I believe this can directly affect proposal conversion rates, since clients may not receive enough information to properly evaluate a candidate.
Please consider increasing the limit at least threefold, ideally to around 5,000 to 7,000 characters. This would give professionals enough space to provide complete, relevant responses without making proposals unnecessarily long.

When I submit apps, I actually keep it under 800 max. I dont think most people hiring want to read these long winded responses. So, I keep it very direct and minimal.
The industry standard for field service scheduling shows three to four technicians at a time, surrounded by completed appointments that are no longer relevant. Dispatchers spend their day mentally filtering noise just to see what is actually happening.
