AREA’s identity began with a simple idea: structure can make a brand more distinctive.
We explored it through bold typography, geometric forms, and a restrained monochromatic palette, bringing clarity and consistency to every touchpoint.
Monochrome can feel cold, but the big type keeps this sharp. Did you start with the type or the shapes?
This collection showcases a diverse portfolio of custom Steam Capsule Art designed to maximize visual punch and marketability for indie games across a wide variety of genres. Each capsule utilizes tailored color theory, high impact typography, and distinct genre tropes ranging from the gritty sci fi cinematic action of Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 and The Last Citadel to the ominous horror atmosphere of True Fear Forsaken Souls Part 3.
By balancing narrative atmosphere with clear visual hierarchy, these designs ensure immediate legibility at small storefront sizes while capturing the core identity of highly varied titles like the epic fantasy Armor of God, the intense cinematic drama of Samson, the neon lit racing aesthetic of Synthwave Burnout, the vibrant cartoon playfulness of Super Meat Boy 3D, the stark graphic style of Grind Survivors, and the stylized urban energy of Gangsters Way.
