This motion design project explores a common misconception surrounding public offerings: the difference between public participation and actual ownership control.
Using a hypothetical SpaceX IPO scenario, the animation breaks down how IPO float percentages, retail allocations, and ownership structures interact to determine effective ownership. The objective was to transform a complex financial concept into a clear visual narrative that can be understood within seconds.
The project combines information design, motion graphics, data visualization, and storytelling to guide viewers through multiple layers of financial reasoning while maintaining clarity and engagement.
