Fluid, Two Palettes
A motion design study built on a single idea: soft, shapeless forms drifting and swelling around a bold white FLUID set at the centre of the frame.
The challenge was to let colour define the character of the piece while the animation stayed identical. Same forms, same timing, same type.
The red version is built on contrast. Flat saturated shapes on pure black, the soft falloff doing all the shading, the type sitting hard against it like a poster. The purple version works in gradients. Violet cooling to the edges, magenta where the forms catch light, the blacks lifted into plum so the whole frame breathes softer. One is graphic, the other atmospheric.

I am gathering cool references for my own work as a Motion Designer, and this one caught my eye today.
I love the way that this one mixes typography, video, photos, and shapes. It does a great job with the mixed media style, and the transitions flow super nicely. The VO and sound design are also great; it guides you through the video and keeps you focused on it.

I animated "OVERTHINK" a follow-up to the display typeface I built a couple days back.
The letters messy with strokes that double back, so the motion writes the word in a hurry, crosses it out, and rewrites it. On a loop that never resolves, because that's what overthinking actually feels like
