1)Your Website May Have the Wrong Job
Your website may work. You hired it for the wrong job.
Many business owners have five or ten pages but cannot answer one question:
What should a visitor do before leaving?
The right build depends on the result you want—not which option sounds more advanced.
2)Business Website
Choose a business website when people need to explore and verify your company.
It usually includes several pages, such as Home, About, Services, Work and Contact.
Visitors can compare services, check your location and learn about your team. Multiple routes are useful because visitors arrive with different questions.
3)Landing Page
Choose a landing page when you are promoting one specific offer.
It follows one direct journey:
Headline → Problem → Offer → Proof → Action
Its form may collect an enquiry or send someone to WhatsApp. Without automated follow-up, it remains a landing page.
4)Complete Funnel
Choose a complete funnel when the action requires a process after the click.
A funnel connects:
Traffic source → Page → Form or booking → Confirmation → Follow-up
It can qualify enquiries, trigger a calendar, take payment, update a customer system and start email or WhatsApp follow-up.
5)Which One Do You Need?
If people need to understand your whole company, choose a website.
If they already know your offer and need one place to respond, choose a landing page.
If you need leads, bookings, applications or sales handled after the first form, choose a funnel.
A regular website is not a failed funnel. The mistake is expecting an information tool to manage a sales journey it was never designed to handle.
Save this before choosing your next website build.

I was thinking bout something over the weekend.
There's a sentence I hear from business owners quite often:
“𝗠𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘀𝗼 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.”
And honestly, I understand the thinking.
If the website is online...
If the pages open...
If the contact form still works...
Then everything must be fine, right?
Not necessarily.
A website can be 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 and still be costing your business opportunities.
It can load, but load too slowly.
It can look good, but feel confusing.
It can get visitors, but fail to turn them into inquiries.
It can work perfectly on desktop, while frustrating everyone visiting from a phone.
That's the tricky part.
Your website doesn't always tell you when it's hurting your business.
Your visitors do.
They leave.
They don't enquire.
They don't book.
And most of them won't tell you why.
So this week, don't just ask:
“𝗜𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴?”
Ask:
“𝗜𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀?”

A useful website assistant needs a clear next step.
I designed and built LeadDesk AI around a small but important handoff: a visitor gets an answer, then the business receives an enquiry it can act on.
For a service business, those two moments belong in the same experience.
Three decisions shaped the product:
1. Start with the visitor’s question.
The assistant draws on approved business FAQs, includes source links, and provides a fallback when it cannot answer. I wanted the boundaries of its knowledge to be part of the experience.
2. Make the transition to a quote clear.
A structured request form gives the visitor an obvious next step and collects the details the business needs to follow up.
3. Design the handoff for the owner, too.
A private lead inbox brings enquiries, status tracking and CSV export together. The customer-facing interaction is only one part of the workflow.
I took this from interface design through full-stack development and deployment using Python and FastAPI.
