I’ve recently completed Email Authentication Fundamentals, and it reinforced something that’s easy to overlook when working on email campaigns:
Good email development isn’t only about how the template looks.
SPF, DKIM, DMARC and authentication can have a huge impact on email trust and deliverability.
As an email developer, I find it especially useful to understand what happens beyond the HTML.

Honestly, as a designer I almost never think about SPF or DKIM until a client mentions their emails are landing in spam, then it's a scramble. Sounds like something that should be part of the handoff checklist from the start. Did that lesson come from a real project going sideways, or just the course itself?

Definitely a bit of both. The course helped connect the technical pieces, but real projects made me realize how often authentication gets treated as an afterthought.
