Creative Workflow and Prompt Breakdown — EXPORT TO LA
What if you could edit your way to Los Angeles instead of buying a plane ticket?
For the #CapCutWorldLAChallenge, I created a cinematic AI-powered comedy about a Kenyan creator who cannot afford a flight to LA, so he presses EXPORT on his editing project—and the editing timeline transforms reality itself.
He travels through futuristic tunnels, surreal dimensions, and impossible transitions before bursting through a glowing portal onto a spectacular creator-event stage. But the journey has one final twist!
This project combines creative storytelling, AI-generated visuals, cinematic transitions, sound design, and humor to explore the idea that imagination can take you anywhere.
My goal was to turn video editing into the story itself and create an unexpected, entertaining way to arrive at CapCut World LA.

That's how I got to the CapCut World LA event at the Audrey Irmas Pavilion. The trip was... intense! 🦄
This is my entry for the new Contra × CapCut challenge.
My workflow:
① I created the character sheet and the prop sheet for the mushroom, as well as the location sheets for a nature landscape and the Audrey Irmas Pavilion.
② I created still shots using my internal AI image generation tool.
③ I created trippy 2D/3D animated images to use as the opening frames of the videos.
④ I imported all the images into the CapCut Video Studio and used the CapCut AI to animate them.
⑤ I created the music in ElevenLabs/ElevenMusic.
⑥ I edited the videos using DaVinci Resolve.
From Pharaoh Cafe to Hollywood - My LA Dream!
This is the full 60s journey of Mazen in white galabiya - from getting lost in Giza desert, sucked into sand vortex, falling into Pharaoh Cafe where Anubis is waiter, his chair transforms into balloon and flies him to LA to dance with palm trees and DTLA skyline behind! All made in CapCut Video Studio, character locked, 6 scenes.
