HillSide Community Church came with a simple but powerful goal to create a website that makes people feel welcome before they even walk through the doors.
Their old site didn’t reflect the warmth of their community or make it easy for someone new to take that first step.
So we reimagined it.
The new website is calm, clear, and inviting built to remove pressure and replace it with comfort.
From “Plan Your Visit” to watching sermons, every path is simple and intentional.
I focused on:
– Clear service times and quick info people actually need
– Gentle, welcoming copy that speaks to everyone
– Stories and moments that build real trust
– A structure that guides, not overwhelms
Because for a church, a website isn’t just information… it’s often someone’s first connection.
And that first impression should feel like: “You belong here.”

What if the map wasn't a utility but the entire game world?
That was the core decision on SideQuest.
A location-based social app. But not the usual: no flat pins, no generic list views, no "events near you" cards buried in a feed.
The brief was real-world gamification. Playful. Spatial. But actually functional.
So I built a 3D isometric city as the home screen. Streets become quest zones. Every pin has a mission type: Challenge, Workout, Live, Events, or Player. Movement earns XP worth chasing.
One map. Infinite reasons to step outside. That's the whole app in one screen.
Five activity types. No boring filter tabs. All experiences live together: 5K Morning Run, Sunset Rooftop Meetup, and Live Now, each with XP rewards, coin drops, and real people going.
Sky-blue world, floating 3D buildings, animated pulse rings as intentional depth not decoration, core interaction design.
