Brand Experiments for NOMAD.
A global financial platform built to make moving, managing and organizing money across borders much simpler.
A few weeks ago, I happened to look closely at a currency note I had with me. Not just the denomination or the illustration, but all the tiny details around it. Micro text, security threads, guilloche, spirographs, patterns and gradients, all working together in a way I had never really paid attention to before.
I was honestly a little mesmerized by how much design was packed into something we handle every day. Kudos to currency designers 🫡
I did not want NOMAD to fall into the usual fintech language of 3D coins, floating cards and abstract 3D visuals. I wanted to see if the visual logic of physical currency could be translated into something that feels native to a digital financial platform.
That led me to build a procedural currency-style ASCII tool for the brand, translating imagery into dots, linework, microtype and currency-inspired details.
Since AI is part of NOMAD, I liked the idea of giving the identity its own generative visual system rather than simply borrowing an AI or fintech aesthetic.
For the logo, I explored the silhouette of the Arctic Tern, the longest migrating bird on the planet. I felt the idea of movement across continents fit naturally with NOMAD.
The palette starts with financial greens (Turquoise variant accent because WISE has pretty much claimed the green space already), then expands into brighter colours for different currencies and digital states.
For the type highlights, I’m using Kyoto by Pangram Pangram. I liked how it carries some of the character of serif typography found on currency notes, while still feeling at home in a digital interface.
Still very much a WIP, but I’m enjoying where this is going.

NEWMA is a Swiss fintech and private wealth company built around a young, ambitious founding team and a vision to rethink how technology, trading and wealth management come together.
I worked on the project during my time at Studio Rubik, where our team helped shape NEWMA from its early stages into a complete and recognizable brand.
My involvement focused on the brand identity, visual direction and digital experience, helping translate the company’s vision into a contemporary identity that could work across its website, platform, communication and wider brand ecosystem.
The project later reached an international audience, with NEWMA showcased in Davos during the World Economic Forum 2025, alongside its growing presence across Switzerland and other international markets.
It was a great opportunity to work on a fintech brand from an early stage and help build a visual identity capable of growing alongside an ambitious young company.
Nuvio | AI Personal Financial Assistant
Nuvio is an AI-powered personal financial assistant built directly into the mobile experience to deliver instant, personalized financial advice. The mobile interface features a clean greeting screen with quick action prompts for tracking spending, analyzing expenses, and finding saving opportunities, alongside voice interaction tools and popular financial topics. By combining smart suggestions with quick follow-up actions like budget capping and financial plan simulations, the app helps users explore their money habits in real time. Instead of passive expense logging, Nuvio acts as a proactive financial companion that gives users instant clarity and total control over their daily budget.
