A lot of designers are talking about how they manage clients (using Notion), and while that’s a big part of the client experience, I want to talk about the inquiry and sign-off side of things. Earlier, when clients enquired about my services, I’d just type everything out in a message. It worked, but it didn’t look professional, especially when you’re trying to charge more. So I created a service guide PDF that walks clients through case studies and into my services menu, shared via a Linktree with an enquiry form. And just like inquiries matter, so does signing off. Instead of just sending files, I send a goodbye packet PDF with everything they need post-project.
