Presented as a field chronicle by an anonymous painter accompanying the fleet during the Ashen Meridian Campaign, this seven-painting series records battles across a distant star system as eyewitness history. I built its visual language from three works in The Met’s collection: Winslow Homer’s The Gulf Stream and The Veteran in a New Field, and The Bryant Vase, designed by James Horton Whitehouse. Homer’s atmospheric light and sweeping compositions meet the vase’s sculptural silver form and intricate relief ornament. I brought these influences together in "Aetheric Battle Chronicle", a custom Recraft Style for an imagined war beyond Earth.
