Character Design: Emma (Lead)
Emma is the protagonist of an unreleased young adult story I’m illustrating. She is self-conscious, dry-humored, and always one step from hiding behind her phone.
Design notes: a plain blue hoodie as her constant, a slight forward curl in the shoulders, and tired eyes to show guardedness. Her posture and expression are built to open up as the story goes on, while her features stay the same. Soft digital painting style with a muted, cool palette.
