Nigeria Has a Soundtrack
Nigeria is one of the few countries where you can know what is happening in your neighbourhood without asking a single question.
The generator starts — someone is working.
The woman shouting “pure water!” — the street is awake.
A bus conductor yelling a destination — people are moving.
A church speaker at 6 a.m. — Sunday has arrived.
A mechanic hitting metal — somebody’s car is fighting for its life.
A mother calling her child’s full government name from three streets away — trouble has entered the chat.
A hawker singing the price of gala and cold drinks — traffic has officially started.
And then there is that one sound almost every Nigerian understands:
“NEPA has brought light!”
You don't need Google Maps to know where you are.
Sometimes, Nigeria introduces herself through sound.
Maybe that is why Nigerians can travel across the world and still miss home.
Not just the food.
Not just the people.

Orchestral and cinematic, built around celesta carrying the melody with a string ostinato driving the rhythm underneath the first half. The celesta was the whole idea: it sits right between a music box and a bell, which felt correct for a film about a gift arriving out of nowhere.

FOCU — Artisan Calabrian Gelato
FOCU is an artisan gelato brand rooted in the flavors and memory of Diamante, Calabria. Each jar carries a piece of the southern coast — bitter bergamot, sharp citrus, dark wild fig — translated into a bold, unapologetic visual identity. The name comes from the Calabrian dialect word for “fire” and “heat”: a deliberate choice to create a powerful contrast with the cold nature of gelato, sparking curiosity and surprise in the consumer.
The Design System: The brand system pairs a groovy pop aesthetic with a monochromatic color logic: one flavor, one color, one jar. Boogaloo typography, dripping cream shapes, and a deep magenta lid unify the three flavors of the line into a coherent family that feels artisanal.
Designed as a fictional brand for the Affinity “Fake Brand Real Craft” contest 2026.
