Just launched: Find My Seat 🪑
If you’ve been to a big wedding, you know the moment. Hundreds of guests crowd around one printed seating board, squinting at tiny names, while grandparents ask “where’s my table?” for the third time.
So I built something to fix it.
Guests scan a QR code, type their name, and see exactly where their table is on a map of the venue. It works on any phone, with no app and no queue.
It started as a seating page for one real wedding: 443 guests, 39 tables, and a balcony that kept confusing people. It worked so well that I turned it into a full product. I handled everything end to end:
✦ Brand identity: a custom wordmark (the “a” is a chair 👀), a black-and-ivory palette and brand guidelines ✦ Social campaign: 19 posts across feed, story and landscape sizes, for both couples and venues ✦ Print & motion: two brochures and two vertical promo videos ✦ The platform: guest app, admin panel, couple approval links and a venue partner programme with commission tracking ✦ Payments: Stripe checkout built into the booking form, with Apple Pay and Google Pay ✦ Website: live at findmyseat.io
Built with Next.js, Supabase, Stripe and Vercel.
The biggest lesson: design for the hardest user first. If a grandmother can find her seat in a busy doorway, everyone can.
Would love your feedback, especially from anyone working in weddings or events 🙏
